WooCommerce Highlighted Products Widget

What it does

Blog posts bring visitors; this plugin gives them clean, clickable product cards, so they don’t leave without seeing your offers. You choose which products to highlight; site-wide defaults, per-post overrides, or exact IDs in a shortcode.

Not WooCommerce’s automatic “related products.” You control what appears in a beautiful way.

How to install

Download the plugin zip and install via Plugins → Add New → Upload.
Activate WooCommerce Highlighted Products Widget.
Go to WooCommerce → Highlighted Products Widget, enter your email to unlock (one-time), choose products, and save.
Add [wrpw_products] to a sidebar widget or any page/post.
Optional: override products on a single post using Highlighted Products (WRPW) in the editor sidebar.

Products render in the order you list IDs (unless you enable randomize in settings).

Frequently asked questions

How do I control the order of products?

By default, products appear in the order you they are visible in WooCommerce → Highlighted Products Widget (or in the per-post metabox). If you use [wrpw_products ids="101,205,310"], they follow the ID order you list. Enable Randomize in plugin settings to shuffle products on every page load instead.

What if a product is hidden or deleted?

It’s skipped automatically when the shortcode renders.

Can I use it outside the sidebar?

Yes. Anywhere shortcodes work: posts, pages, block shortcode block, classic text widgets.

Do I need reviews for stars to show?

Ratings come from WooCommerce product reviews. No reviews = no stars. You can turn ratings off in plugin settings.
